OUR FAVORITE WAYS TO INCORPORATE GREENS AND SUPERFOODS

One: straight up.

If you read the directions on most greens powder products, it will suggest that you mix the powder with water. With this approach, you simply stir and swallow—quick and easy! It helps if you find a great-tasting product that makes it more enjoyable to take straight up.

Two: shaken.

If you’re looking for a better tasting end result, throw a scoop of greens powder into your favorite smoothie and shake it out in a shaker cup! If the greens are sweetened, try Greek yogurt or an unflavored protein to balance out the taste. If it’s unsweetened, adding in fruits like pineapple, berries or bananas can help balance out the bitterness and add a pop of flavor.

Three: stirred.

Enhance your morning meal by stirring greens into your oats or yogurt. While adding a scoop may not be visually appealing, it will improve the nutrient quality. Toss on nuts, seeds, fruits or any other favorite topping for a flavor twist.

Four: with a twist.

If you have the time, add a little twist to your regular ‘ole pancakes and transform them into power pancakes. Add a scoop or two of greens into your favorite pancake mix and enjoy! While you won’t get an entire scoop of greens in a single pancake, every bite of wellness counts.
