Are you on the hunt for drinks that help you sleep? This sleep-promoting mocktail combines the antioxidant properties of tart cherry juice with the calming effects of chamomile tea and the subtle sweetness of honey.
There are a few reasons why people theorize tart cherry juice can help with sleep. The first is that tart cherries naturally contain melatonin, a compound that helps you fall asleep [1]. Tart cherries are also rich in antioxidants and other phenolic compounds. Antioxidants are especially important to athletes and exercise enthusiasts as it helps minimize the effects of free radicals. The body’s production of free radicals increases with exercise, which can be damaging to muscle cells. So if you had a tough workout during the day, shake up this mocktail at night (Plus, no one will know it isn’t red wine in your glass!)
Let this warm, delightful bedtime beverage help you relax and drift off to dreamland.
